Byrne Mech Ltd in Athenry (Co. Galway) is seeking an experienced Production Planner to coordinate production schedules across multiple cells, manage capacity planning and ensure on-time delivery.

This role collaborates with Operations, Production, Purchasing and Sales to maintain smooth workflow in a SME manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in production planning or scheduling, strong ERP/MRP experience, advanced Excel skills and excellent collaboration abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a production planning or scheduling role.
• Strong experience using ERP systems and MRP planning.
• Experience in a small to medium manufacturing environment.
• Ability to implement new planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain production schedules across multiple manufacturing cells using the company ERP system
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customer requirements and delivery timelines are met
• Support the Operations Leadership Team in reviewing capacity, identifying constraints, and improving planning processes
• Identify opportunities for system and process improvements and lead implementation initiatives
• Determine and manage finished goods inventory levels, including pack sizes and safety stock requirements
• Coordinate delivery commitments for sales orders based on material availability and production capacity
• Work closely with Production teams to execute daily and weekly production plans
• Monitor schedule performance and adjust plans as required to maintain operational efficiency
