Job summary

Vertiv Ireland is seeking a Production Planner to lead and optimize production by forecasting, analyzing, and managing capacity for live orders, backlog, and sales pipelines. You will guide cross-functional teams to ensure on-time production and balanced supply and demand.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and data-driven decision making; you will track planning KPIs and provide corrective actions to keep performance on target.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years in production planning within manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and Smartsheet.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead planners within LOB and share best practices cross-functionally with other LOBs.
• Own LOB Planning KPI’s and accuracy of work for the team.
• Develop and maintain accurate plans, records, and KPI of production schedules.
• Analyze production schedules, historical data, and market demand to develop accurate capacity plans.
• Collaborate with production, sales, and supply chain teams to understand current and future production requirements.
• Continuously monitor and adjust forecasts to reflect changes in demand or production capabilities.
• Liaise with sales, marketing, and procurement teams to gather information on market trends and disruptions.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to align production plans with Busbar LOB goals.
• Monitor production performance against capacity plans and KPIs.
• Identify and analyze production bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Proactively identify risks to capacity and develop contingency plans.
• Evaluate and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Generate regular reports on production capacity performance and present findings.

Location: Burnfoot, County Donegal - Onsite 5 days per week.

The Production Planner plays a crucial role in leading, optimizing production by forecasting, analyzing, and managing the capacity requirements of live orders, backlog and sales pipelines.

This role involves leading planners and collaborating with various departments including the sales and project teams and the global LOB team to ensure efficient resource utilization, meeting on‑time production demands, and maintaining a balance between supply and demand.

This role requires exceptional leadership, collaboration, strategic thinking, analytical prowess, and clear communication to drive the success of our production workflows. You'll also be responsible for tracking all planning KPIs across the line of business, ensuring they stay on target—and stepping in with data‑driven corrective actions if performance slips.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
