Job summary

Avoca is seeking a skilled and versatile Pastry & Savoury Chef with experience across pastry and savoury production in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will produce a wide range of high-quality sweet and savoury products while upholding the highest standards of food safety, quality and consistency.

You will work flexibly across all production areas as part of one integrated team, supporting daily production requirements and ensuring products are delivered to specification.

• Experience in pastry and savoury production in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
• Produce a wide range of high-quality sweet and savoury products while maintaining food safety and quality.
• Works across production areas as part of one integrated team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking, baking, and finishing a variety of pastry and savoury products.
• Following recipes, specifications, and production schedules to ensure consistency and quality.
• Working across multiple production areas to support business and operational requirements.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP compliance.
• Ensuring products meet quality, presentation, and customer standards.
• Monitoring ingredient usage and minimising waste.
• Supporting new product development trials and seasonal product launches.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Collaborating with colleagues to achieve production targets and deadlines.
