  • Third-level qualification in Quality or Engineering disciplines is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Execute manufacturing and packaging operations to ensure consistent production of high-quality products.
  • Handle production materials and chemicals, including storing, retrieving, mixing, and monitoring chemicals.
  • Ensure full compliance with QMS, GMP and manufacturing documentation.
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment to maintain efficiency and product quality.
  • Accurately record production data and input into systems and databases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production workflows and targets.
  • Maintain GMP compliance, cleanliness and housekeeping in manufacturing areas.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining QMS documentation and SOPs.
  • Complete training related to manufacturing processes and product handling.
  • Carry out any additional duties as directed by supervisor.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our growing manufacturing team in Swords, Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in regulated manufacturing environments who is passionate about quality, compliance, and operational excellence.

The Production Operator will play a key role in the preparation, mixing, packaging, and labelling of chemical reagents, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance are consistently maintained.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate should have:

  • A minimum of 1 year’s experience within a medical device, IVD (In-Vitro Diagnostics), pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience working within medical companies or organisations involved in IVD product manufacturing is highly advantageous
  • A strong understanding and practical application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
  • A proactive and accountable approach to work, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and contribute effectively to team responsibilities
  • Previous Quality Control or laboratory experience within a regulated environment would be advantageous
  • A third-level qualification in Quality, Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related discipline would be beneficial
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute manufacturing and packaging operations to ensure the consistent production of high-quality products
  • Handle production materials and chemicals, including storing, retrieving, mixing, and monitoring chemicals used throughout the manufacturing process
  • Ensure full compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, GMP requirements, and all associated manufacturing documentation
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment and processes to maintain efficiency and product quality
  • Accurately record production data, including ingredients, weights, temperatures, and in-process inspection results, and input information into relevant systems and databases
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support efficient production workflows and achieve operational targets
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of QMS documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and validation documentation
  • Complete all required training related to manufacturing processes, product handling, and shipment procedures
  • Maintain high standards of GMP compliance, cleanliness, and housekeeping across manufacturing areas
  • Ensure adherence to all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies and company procedures
  • Carry out any additional duties assigned by the immediate supervisor to support operational requirements
