Leinster Appointments Ltd presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Manager in Blessington, Co Wicklow. You will take overall responsibility for the production facility and lead an established operations team in a hands-on leadership role.

The successful candidate will drive production planning, quality, and cost control while collaborating with marketing and design to bring new products to market.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Production Manager role with a proven track record.
• Experience in Fabrication or similar is a MUST.
• Commercially aware with focus on productivity and profitability.
• A hands-on shop-floor leader with a can-do attitude.
• Experience in purchasing and stock control within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Relevant degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Business or related field.
• Experience in plastics manufacturing or rotational moulding.
• Experience working in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment.
• Track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Our client is a long-established SME based in Blessington, Co. Wicklow. Exciting Opportunity with a Growing Irish Manufacturing Business. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Production Manager to take overall responsibility for our manufacturing facility and lead our established operational team.

This is a hands-on leadership role with significant scope to make a real impact on the business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the organisation as we enter an exciting phase of growth, with a clear pathway towards future progression into an Operations Manager / Director role.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager will have overall responsibility for the efficient, safe and commercially effective operation of our production facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation and performance of the production facility.
• Develop and manage production plans and schedules to maximise efficiency, output and customer service.
• Lead, motivate and develop an established operational team across Production, Transport, Stock Control & Purchasing and Maintenance.
• Oversee all production-related activities, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency and productivity.
• Work closely with Marketing and Technical Design to bring innovative new products successfully to market.
• Drive continuous improvement across production processes, quality and operational performance.

The Person

• Minimum 3 years' proven experience in a Production Manager role, with a strong track record of achievement.
• Experience in Fabrication or similar a MUST
• Commercially aware and results-oriented, with a strong focus on productivity and profitability.
• A hands-on shop-floor leader with a positive can-do attitude.
• Proven experience managing and motivating operational teams.
• Experience in purchasing and stock control within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Relevant third-level qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Business or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in plastics manufacturing or rotational moulding.
• Experience working within an ISO-certified manufacturing environment.
• A track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
