Job summary

GEA Group is seeking a Product Owner - Digital Solutions to lead cloud-based applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives. The role involves close collaboration with the Product Manager and development teams and can be based in Naas, Ireland or Alcobendas, Spain.

You will translate business requirements into epics and features, define acceptance criteria, maintain the backlog, and drive delivering milestones with a strong focus on security and D2S processes.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Engineering required.
• Agile Certifications (Scrum Master, Product Owner) required.
• 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership/PM or Digital Transformation.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience delivering cloud-based software using Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Manager to align roadmap.
• Translate requirements into epics, features, and tasks.
• Create mockups and work with UX on design.
• Define acceptance criteria and review deliverables.
• Create and maintain solution architecture and design docs.
• Maintain and prioritise the product backlog.
• Coordinate software updates, patches, releases, and upgrades.
• Ensure developments align with Secure Product Development procedures and D2S processes.
• Maintain up-to-date project documentation (sprint plans, backlogs, minutes, release notes).
• Proactively manage risks and escalate issues when required.
• Develop and deliver monthly performance reports.

Job description

The Product Owner - Digital Solutions is responsible for the successful delivery of cloud-based digital applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives while facilitating effective communication between development teams, the Product Manager, and key business stakeholders. This position can be based in Alcobendas (Spain) or Naas (Ireland), depending on the selected candidate.

Responsibilities / Tasks

• Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to align implementation with the product roadmap.
• Translate business requirements and user stories into well-defined epics, features, and actionable development tasks.
• Create mockups and work with UX experts on solution design.
• Define acceptance criteria , review deliverables, and accept completed work.
• Create and maintain solution architecture, technical design documents, and implementation specifications to support successful application development.
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, stakeholder feedback, technical dependencies, and strategic objectives.
• Coordinate software updates, patches, releases, and upgrades.
• Ensure all developments align with company Secure Product Development procedures.
• Ensure all developments align with company D2S development processes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation , including sprint plans, product backlogs, meeting minutes, and release notes.
• Proactively manage risks that could impact delivery timelines or product quality and escape issues when required.
• Develop and deliver monthly performance reports highlighting solution status, key achievements, development progress, and KPI attainment.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Educational Background:

Must Have

• Master’s Degree in Engineering
• Agile Certifications (Scrum Master, Product Owner, etc.

Nice to Have:

• Project Management Certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)

Professional Knowledge and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or Digital Transformation.
• Proven ability to drive organizational and process improvements within a department.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience delivering cloud-based software products using Microsoft Azure.
• English (B2/C1) required. French, German, or Portuguese highly valued.
