Job summary

SSE Airtricity in Dublin seeks a Product Owner to drive data products and ML models, delivering insights that improve energy usage and business performance.

You will craft the product vision, roadmap and backlog, partnering with Platform Owner and Scrum teams to enable end-to-end delivery and ongoing operations. The role blends business and technical focus in a flexible, hybrid setup in Ireland.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain the product vision, roadmap, strategy and backlog across the lifecycle.
• Act as the voice of the business and collaborate with the Platform Owner and Scrum team.
• Support Agile delivery by coordinating with business units and UX, analytics and digital teams.
• Lead delivery and releases, iterating on customer feedback and data insights.
• Develop business cases to prioritise requirements and user stories by value and risk.

Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in our Dublin office

Salary: €65,300 - €97,900 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

This role is within the Data and Analytics team in SSE Airtricity. We develop advanced analytical analysis and models and self-serve capabilities for internal and external customers. As a Product Owner you will drive the development of data products and advanced machine learning models that provide our customers with insights into their energy use, and the business with the insights that make a measurable contribution to business performance.

You will

• Create and maintain the product vision, roadmap, strategy, and backlog of work regularly, throughout the product's development lifecycle (from discovery phase to design, development, testing and ongoing operations post release)
• Act as the voice of the business and be accountable for the created product, working closely with the Platform Owner and Scrum team
• Support Agile delivery by being a single point of contact from the business, understanding the business areas unique needs, and considering customer experience, user experience, digital analytics and other supporting stakeholder teams
• Work on successful deliveries and releases while iterating on customer feedback, analytics and all data available
• Work on business cases that help prioritise requirements, features and user stories based on their business value and risks

You have

• Experience working across the end-to-end product function with expertise in agile product delivery and engaging stakeholders across Business, IT Delivery, Data, Architecture, UX etc
• A unique blend of business and technical savvy, as well as a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality
• The ability to develop product requirements / roadmap based on input gathered from a variety of sources, such as data analysis results, feedback received from the user community, product research, market research and to define KPIs to support benefit realisation
• The ability to act as a champion for agile delivery within the data and analytics team, coaching and supporting colleagues on our agile transformation
• Experience delivering change and product improvements within the energy and utilities sector
