A Day in the Life CardioVascular Surgery is a vital component of the Medtronic Cardiovascular portfolio consisting of Aortic and Cardiac Surgery therapies. Aortic therapies treat thoracic and abdominal aneurysms, where Medtronic has led the market with durable products and will develop more products to treat complex endovascular conditions to serve more patients. Cardiac Surgery therapies offer a broad range of products to support both minimally invasive and open surgical valve replacement and valve repair procedures, along with left atrial appendage clipping. This includes surgical solutions, ablation tools, blood oxygenation and circulation management systems.
The Program Manager serves as the primary Operations interface to cross-functional product development Core Teams and is a highly visible leadership role responsible for shaping and executing Operations strategy across new product development, and commercial lifecycle phases, leading global teams to deliver product outcomes aligned with cost, quality, supply, and business objectives.
A Day in The Life Of: Leads team members across operations domains including process development, manufacturing engineering, technical sourcing, supply chain, site planning, and distribution, among others to shape and execute program strategy. Define and drive program scope, timelines, and governance, balancing priorities, risks, and resources across integration and next-generation product development workstreams Aligns with cross functional partners to define the requirements for future commercial Aortic products, and the strategy to bring them through all stages of product development through to commercial release. This includes the development of manufacturing processes, cultivating supplier relationships, planning for appropriate capacity across the value stream, and executing validations to prepare for launch Brings patient centric focus, strong business acumen, and domain knowledge of operations to the cross functional product development core team. Engage geographically remote stakeholders across operations functions and sites to accomplish program objectives Coaches personnel to ensure engagement of team members and execution of goals.
