Job summary

Qualifications

Procurement Specialist - Location: Dublin. Contract: Permanent. Salary: €52,546 (non negotiable). Closing Date: 12 noon on Friday, 11th September 2026.

Our client, a well-established public sector organisation based in Dublin, is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join its Corporate Governance, Legal Services & Secretariat Division on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional with strong public sector procurement experience to join a busy team and provide practical advice and support across the full end-to-end procurement process.

Essential Candidate Requirements: 3+ years experience in public procurement operations, with knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and guidelines. The primary duties and responsibilities must have been related to procurement rather than procurement being a secondary responsibility. Direct knowledge of the eTenders gov.ie platform and experience managing tenders electronically. Pursuing or holding a relevant qualification in public procurement, such as the Professional Diploma in Public Procurement (IPA). Third-level qualification to a minimum Level 8 on the National Qualifications Framework.

Reporting to the Procurement Specialist and working as part of the Compliance Team, you will assist managers with the formal aspects of procurement and provide practical advice to ensure procurement processes are compliant, appropriately documented and delivered within required regulatory timelines.

Key Responsibilities: Support staff in managing the full end-to-end procurement process, from specification through to contract approval and award. Assist with the full eTenders process, from creating and advertising tenders through to contract award and completion of required notices. Provide practical advice on suitable procurement routes, including OGP framework agreements. Provide guidance on contract preparation, procurement regulations and key areas of risk associated with potential procurement strategies. Advise on the use of standard procurement templates, evaluation criteria, procurement timelines and appropriate procurement documentation. Oversee evaluation processes as required, including the collation of scoring and commentary for notification and standstill letters.

A full driving licence is desirable.
