Job summary

McKeon Group, a long-established Irish construction and building services contractor, seeks a Junior Procurement Officer to support procurement, accounts, ESG and fleet/tool management. You will report to the Procurement Manager and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to manage documentation and schedules.

The role requires 1–2 years in administration, strong communication, and Excel proficiency, with hybrid work after probation and a head office in Ashbourne.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in an administrative role
• Procurement experience is advantageous, not necessarily in construction/tech sectors
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

• Procurement: Prepare and issue purchase orders; build relationships with suppliers for timely enquiries.
• Document Control: Support accounts by processing supplier delivery documentation.
• Quotations & Tend ers: Issue enquiries for materials, plant, tools and vehicles; review quotes and analyse for the Procurement Manager.
• Fleet Administrator: Act as main contact for managing the company fleet.
• Hilti OnTrack Administrator: Manage plant and tools using Hilti OnTrack software.
• ESG Support: Assist with ESG rollout and carbon footprint reporting initiatives over 12–24 months.
