Job summary

Conack is seeking a Part-Time Procurement Assistant to support procurement of materials and services across our construction projects in Ireland. The role suits someone with purchasing experience and an interest in the construction industry, offering flexible hours and a pathway to career progression.

In this position you will raise and process purchase orders, source competitive prices, manage supplier communications, and maintain procurement records, while working closely with Site Managers

Qualifications

• Previous purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in construction.
• Understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with attention to detail.

We are looking for a Part-Time Procurement Assistantto join our team, supporting the procurement of materials and services across our construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous purchasing or procurement experience, ideally within the construction industry, looking for a flexible part-time role.

What You'll Do

• Procure materials and services in line with project specifications

• Source competitive prices from approved suppliers

• Assist with supplier tenders and quotation analysis

• Raise and process purchase orders

• Process material requisitions from project sites

• Coordinate material deliveries to sites

• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation

• Assist with supplier pricing and rebate agreements

• Prepare procurement and supplier reports

• Monitor supplier performance and highlight issues

• Maintain the approved supplier list

• Liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, suppliers, and subcontractors

• Support the Purchasing Manager with day-to-day procurement activities

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role

• Construction industry experience is highly advantageous

• Good understanding of construction materials and suppliers

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook

• Experience with Sage, Collsoft, or similar software is advantageous

• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills

• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
