Life Science Recruitment is recruiting Process/Maintenance Technicians for a North Cork medical devices facility in Ireland. You will be responsible for machine performance, up time and process support, with opportunities to join a growing team in a global organisation.

The role requires a Level 6 qualification in electrical/mechanical discipline, strong communication skills, and willingness to rotate between day, night and weekend shifts with overtime.

Qualifications

  • Level 6 qualification in electrical/mechanical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient with standard computer software and systems.
  • Willing to work rotating day/night/weekend shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure machine performance and up time on a fully automated process.
  • Troubleshoot product defects and process issues; identify equipment faults.
  • Set up adjustments and support equipment function.
  • Assist with cleaning in the clean room and ensure compliance with quality/regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to Health & Safety compliance and continuous improvement.

Job description

Process/Maintenance Technicians required to work 24/7 shift in North Cork Medical Devices facility.

Open to existing Technicians in the sector or similar manufacturing facilities, or electrical or trade qualified professionals who are interested in making the transition to industry, particularly within the parameters of a global medical devices organisation.

About the Role

Great opportunity to become part of a growing medical devices team in North Cork as they continue to grow their Irish operation in the sector.

Seeking Process/Maintenance Technicians who will be responsible for machine performance and up time, together with process support , trouble shooting of product defects, process issues, identifying equipment function faults, adjustments and set up.

Responsibilities
  • Production output of a Class III Medical Device dealing with the day to day running of a fully automated process (e.g. loading/unloading hoppers, loading/unloading trolleys, loading/unloading hatches & other duties as required).
  • Responsible for machine performance and up time.
  • Contribution to targets related to Safety, Quality, Compliance and Continuous Improvement.
  • Process support – trouble shooting of product defects, process issues, identifying equipment functions and faults, equipment adjustment and set up.
  • Additional cleaning responsibilities while working in the clean room.
  • Quality: Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Legislation and Regulations.
Qualifications
  • Level 6 qualification in electrical/mechanical discipline and/or lesser qualification with sufficient experience working in one or more of the following automation control, tool-making, maintenance, electrical or mechanical /fitter roles.
Required Skills
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people.
  • Be Computer Literate.
  • Be prepared to work on rotating shift (days, nights and weekends) and be available for overtime.
Preferred Skills
  • At least two year’s experience is desirable, however full training will be provided.
