Job summary

LEO Pharma Cork is seeking a Process Operator on a 12-month fixed term contract to join the Cork site. The role involves producing heparin intermediates and APIs, ensuring cGMP compliance, and maintaining accurate records under supervision of the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include material handling, batch sampling, and contributing to Lean manufacturing improvements while ensuring safety and regulatory standards are met. This position requires shift work on site.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Certificate or higher in science, chemical or industrial engineering.
• Experience in API manufacturing, biotechnology or bioprocessing.
• Knowledge of cGMP and its application to production, hygiene and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Produce with precision: Manufacture heparin intermediates and APIs according to SOPs, operating production equipment and valves.
• Maintain quality and compliance: Follow cGMP, Irish/EU/FDA requirements and hygiene procedures.
• Manage materials accurately: Receive, weigh, label and reconcile materials, perform batch sampling.
• Keep operations safe and production-ready: Follow safety, environmental procedures and handle chemicals safely.
• Document and improve: Complete batch records, logbooks and contribute to Lean initiatives.
