GMP Process Operator – 12-Month Contract (Cork)

Job summary

LEO Pharma Cork is seeking a Process Operator on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support safe, compliant production. You will work under the Process Flow Specialist and Operations Manager, following procedures, ensuring accuracy in records, and contributing to continuous improvement.

The role requires shift work and the site operates 24/5, offering varied responsibilities across production and materials handling.

Qualifications

• A Level 5 Certificate or higher in science, chemical or industrial engineering.
• Experience in API manufacturing, biotechnology or bioprocessing.
• Knowledge of cGMP and its application to production, hygiene and documentation.
• Ability to operate equipment and handle production materials safely and accurately.
• Maintain clear manufacturing records and contribute to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Produce with precision: Manufacture heparin intermediates and APIs according to SOPs, operating production equipment and valves/pumps/services.
• Maintain quality and compliance: Follow cGMP and applicable Irish, EU and FDA requirements, hygiene and garbing procedures.
• Manage materials: Receive, weigh, label and reconcile materials, complete stock-control transactions and batch sampling.
• Keep operations safe: Follow health, safety, security and environmental procedures, handle chemicals safely, prepare fittings for autoclaving, clean production areas.
• Document and improve: Complete batch records, logbooks and in-process control sheets, contribute to Lean initiatives.
