Process Engineer – Lean CI & New Tech for Medical Devices

Job summary

ID Recruitment is partnering with a leading medical device manufacturer in Roscommon, Ireland, to recruit a Process Engineer. You will join a team of process engineers within the manufacturing group, driving continuous improvement and supporting day-to-day operations and waste-elimination initiatives.

You will interface with customers on product development and complaint investigations while supporting the introduction of new technologies and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Polymer, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing/process engineering role, ideally within the medical device or regulated industry.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred; familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA quality system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional problem-solving teams to drive waste elimination.
• Act as technical lead for assigned production areas, supporting yield, uptime and quality metrics.
• Lead and support CI initiatives focused on waste elimination, cost reduction and process optimization using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Own and drive investigations into customer complaints and internal non-conformances with CAPA implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce and validate new equipment, technologies, and processes.
• Provide technical support for transfer and scale-up of new products into manufacturing, including documentation and training.
