Global Professional Consultants in Naas, Co. Kildare, seeks a Process Design Engineer with 3+ years in water and wastewater to lead design activities on major projects. You will develop P&IDs, PFDs, GA drawings and deliver hydraulic and equipment sizing analyses.

Role requires coordinating across disciplines, liaising with clients, and supporting tender and construction phases in line with Uisce Éireann standards.

Competenze

• 3+ years' experience in process engineering or process design in water/wastewater.
• Degree in Chemical, Process, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong experience in water and wastewater treatment process design.

Mansioni

• Carry out process design for water and wastewater treatment plants, including upgrades and new installations.
• Develop and review P&IDs, PFDs, and mechanical GA drawings.
• Complete hydraulic calculations, process calculations, mass balances, and equipment sizing.

Process Design Engineer – Water & Wastewater – Naas, Kildare

A Process Design Engineer is required to join a leading water and wastewater engineering contractor based in Naas, Co. Kildare. The role will involve the process design and delivery of water and wastewater treatment projects, including treatment plant upgrades, new installations, and major infrastructure schemes.

This position would suit a Process Engineer with 3+ years’ experience in water and wastewater design, with strong knowledge of P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, process design, and treatment plant systems.

Role:

• Carry out process design for water and wastewater treatment plants, including upgrades and new installations.
• Develop and review P&IDs, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and mechanical GA drawings.
• Complete hydraulic calculations, process calculations, mass balances, and equipment sizing.
• Prepare technical specifications, design reports, and engineering documentation.
• Provide technical input into pumps, pipework, valves, and treatment equipment selection.
• Coordinate designs with mechanical, electrical, civil, and automation engineering teams.

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience in process engineering or process design within the water/wastewater sector.
• Degree in Chemical, Process, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in water and wastewater treatment process design.
• Proficient in P&IDs, PFDs, hydraulic calculations, and equipment sizing.
• Experience with AutoCAD and mechanical GA drawings.
• Good understanding of pumping systems, pipework, and treatment technologies.
• Experience working on Uisce Éireann or UK water utility projects is advantageous.
• Familiarity with BIM, process modelling, and multidisciplinary design coordination is beneficial.
• Strong communication, technical problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Package:

• Salary: €55K – €65K, depending on experience.
• Permanent, full-time position.
• Based in Naas, Co. Kildare.
