Role Overview
The Advanced Manufacturing team in Ireland is seeking a Process Design Engineer with strong BIM capability to support the delivery of large scale Advanced Manufacturing facility projects.
This is a site based role, working directly on fast paced, high tech construction programmes for global technology clients.
As a Process Design Engineer, you will support the full lifecycle of semiconductor facility delivery from design coordination and model development through to installation oversight, commissioning support and handover. You will work closely with construction teams, trade contractors, designers and client representatives to ensure process systems are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
You will be proficient in BIM coordination, process system design and site engineering within highly regulated cleanroom and advanced manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate process design engineering activities for assigned semiconductor project areas.
- Develop, review and maintain BIM models for process systems, ensuring accuracy, clash resolution and alignment with design and construction requirements.
- Support site installation of process systems including high purity piping, chemical distribution, gas systems, waste systems and tool hook ups.
- Conduct field inspections, verify installation quality and ensure compliance with specifications, codes and semiconductor standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, architectural, construction management and tool installation teams.
- Ensure adherence to cleanroom, contamination control and high tech manufacturing requirements.
- Review technical submittals, method statements and contractor proposals.
- Support commissioning and start up activities, including testing, flushing, verification and documentation.
- Maintain accurate project records, model updates and as built information.
- Champion safety, quality and continuous improvement across all site activities.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience delivering process systems on large industrial or advanced manufacturing projects.
- Proven capability in BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks or equivalent.
- Experience working site based on major construction programmes.
- Knowledge of semiconductor process systems, high purity piping, chemical/gas distribution or cleanroom environments (advantageous).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and BIM models.
- Familiarity with commissioning processes and construction quality standards.
