Job summary

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Limerick is seeking a Process Automation Engineer to join the Automation team. This role focuses on delivering technical and end-user support for PLC/HMI and DeltaV systems, maintaining documentation, and acting as a SME across functional projects.

The position involves leading upgrades, supporting inspections, and coordinating with Validation and Quality to align with the development life cycle. A BS/BA in Engineering or related field is required.

Qualifications

BS/BA or higher in Engineering, Science, Instrumentation, IT or related field.
Experience with PLC/HMI control systems, or related education.
GMP experience preferred.
Relevant experience may be substituted for education.

Responsibilities

Delivering technical and end-user support for process automation systems, including PLC/HMI and DeltaV applications.
Maintaining automation documentation, including SOPs, Work Instructions and Configuration Specifications.
Carrying out day-to-day administrative tasks relating to functional support and user account administration.
Acting as a Subject Matter Expert, working with functional departments on projects to develop, implement and enhance systems.
Implementing software and hardware changes and upgrades to PLC/HMI and DeltaV systems, with impact on Manufacturing and Facilities.
Providing support before, during and after Regulatory and Partner inspections.
Supporting Automation change control requests.
Leading projects to introduce new process equipment or upgrade existing automation applications.
Working with Validation and Quality to ensure process automation applications are implemented in line with the development life cycle.
