Job summary

Alter Domus in Ireland is seeking an experienced finance professional to own reconciliations and reporting packages for clients and internal teams. You will manage daily cash flow prep and reconcile against bank statements and custodians, resolving breaks promptly.

The role includes acting as the primary contact for external counterparties, guiding junior staff, championing process improvements, and developing a broad view of daily portfolio reporting and SLA delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics.
• 5+ years of professional experience in financial services.
• Experience in loan operations and credit/debt funds.
• Experience mentoring, managing workloads and training team members.
• Ability to independently research and resolve problems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Familiar with Bloomberg, performance systems, and analysis tools.
• Attention to detail; thrives in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Take ownership of reconciliations and customized daily/monthly reporting packages produced for clients and internal teams.
• Responsible for daily cash flow preparation and reconciliation against bank statements and custodians. Including identifying and resolving breaks in a timely manner.
• Act as primary point of contact for external counterparties including fund custodians and investment managers regarding data tie outs and ad hoc reporting requests.
• Manage credit fund lifecycle events and ensure that all deliverables are produced in a timely and accurate manner.
• Coordinate with clients and ensure team is fully aware of all daily deliverables and expectations.
• Oversee junior staff and assume responsibility for training and development of team members.
• Implement process improvements and ensure final delivery of solutions.
• Develop a “big picture” mentality of daily portfolio reporting tasks, internal system usage, and how we deliver to our clients.
• Ensure timeframes and deliverables agreed with client and trustee are met per service level agreements.
• Demonstrate ability to prioritize, complete, and delegate tasks while providing high quality customer servic.
• Apply experience and understanding of market and best practices when managing transactions and data flows.
• Develop leadership skills by participating in strategic initiatives.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics preferred.
• 5+ years of professional experience within a business or financial service related role.
• Experience working in loan operations and credit/debt funds.
• Experience mentoring, managing workloads and training of team members.
• Ability to independently research and resolve problems.
• Responsive, friendly, professional, and highly organized communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Broad market knowledge and familiarity with Bloomberg, performance systems, and other analysis tools.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to thrive within a high-volume environment with both proficiency and accuracy.
• Willingness to work within a deadline-driven environment.
