Job summary

Harvey, Inc. is seeking a qualified privacy lawyer to join our in-house legal team as we expand across EMEA. You will work directly with the Head of Privacy to promote a culture of privacy and security, advising cross‑functional teams on data protection and AI governance.

You will draft and negotiate Data Processing Agreements, develop global privacy programs, conduct DPIAs, and monitor evolving privacy laws and AI regulations to keep Harvey, Inc. compliant across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 4+ years of post-qualification experience in privacy and data protection.
• Proven expertise in EU and U.S. data protection law, with familiarity across global compliance frameworks.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the confidence to represent Harvey on matters relating to data privacy, AI, and security.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across legal and business teams.
• Highly responsive and detail-oriented, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate Data Processing Agreements with customers, subprocessors, service providers, and third parties.
• Develop, maintain, and scale global privacy programs and DPIAs to identify and mitigate privacy risks.
• Evaluate privacy and data protection laws on product developments with product and engineering teams.
• Monitor changes in privacy laws and AI regulations and respond accordingly.
• Assist with AI governance, including evaluation of risk obligations and documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on AI principles like transparency and accountability.
