Job summary

SLR Consulting in Ireland is seeking a Principal Hydrogeologist or Technical Director (Hydrogeology) to lead a close-knit Ireland team and collaborate with European and international clients.

You will drive the development of our hydrogeology capability in Ireland, oversee project delivery from inception through to completion, and mentor staff while engaging with regulators and stakeholders across renewables, quarrying and water management sectors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hydrogeology consultancy across multiple sectors.
• Strong project management, team leadership and client liaison skills.
• Experience with quarrying/mineral extraction, site investigations and EIA in Ireland.
• Chartership or full membership with a recognised professional body (IAH/IGI/BGS/CIWEM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of hydrogeology projects
• Manage and develop team members, supporting their technical and professional growth, whilst contributing to team strategy
• Lead the delivery of hydrogeological solutions, working closely with clients and regulators
• Prepare proposals and manage the project lifecycle
• Prepare project reports and technical notes, and guide the team on technical writing
• Deliver projects from initial investigation and regulatory approval through to implementation
• Champion a strong culture of safety, health and wellbeing
