Job summary
SLR Consulting is seeking a Hydrogeologist/Environmental Scientist to join the Hydrogeology & Hydrology team in Ireland. Based in Dublin or Cork with hybrid or remote options, the role focuses on hydrogeology, hydrology assessments, and project delivery across water environment sectors.
The position involves site works, data interpretation, conceptual site model development, and preparing EIAR Water chapters, with exposure to flood risk, drainage, and cross-sector projects.
Qualifications
- Experience in hydrogeology/hydrology, ideally in consultancy or similar environment.
- Degree in Geoscience, Hydrogeology, Hydrology, or related discipline (postgraduate advantageous).
- Experience delivering EIAR Water chapters or equivalent environmental reporting.
- Experience developing conceptual site models and managing field programmes.
- Knowledge of water permitting/licensing processes.
- Strong technical report writing and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Site works including site walkover surveys, borehole drilling supervision, logging, well installation, and groundwater/surface water monitoring.
- Hydrogeological data interpretation and preparation of conceptual site models.
- Assisting with hydrogeological assessments, data analysis, groundwater modelling, and reporting.
- Contributing to the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) water chapters.
