Job summary

Ayesa Engineering is seeking a Principal Engineer / Associate in Dublin to lead geotechnical design projects, provide technical direction, manage budgets, and supervise design teams.

You will build strong client relationships, ensure delivery to time and quality standards, and champion health, safety and IMS compliance while benefiting from a global consultancy network and active professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years' experience in Geotechnical design.
• Has achieved, or is close to achieving, Chartered status.
• Degree or Masters in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Client interface, technical direction, budgetary control and design team management.
• Management of relationships with key clients and contacts across the business.
• Management of projects within time, cost and quality constraints and standards.
• Management of the day-to-day work of the team.
• Champions and promotes professional advice, guidance and support across the business.
• Monitors and manages compliance and KPI's.
• Business development and preparation of tender documents.
• Estimating, pricing and delivering against work targets.
• Adheres to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards and Health and Safety Regulations.
• Management of projects in compliance with IMS.

Position

What You Will Be Doing:

• Client interface, technical direction, budgetary control and design team management

• Management of projects within time, cost and quality constraints and standards
• Management of the day‑to‑day work of the team
• Champions and promotes professional advice, guidance and support across the business
• Monitors and manages compliance and KPI’s
• Business development and preparation of tender documents
• Estimating, pricing and delivering against work targets
• Adheres to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards and Health and Safety Regulations
• Management of projects in compliance with Ayesa Engineering’s Integrated Management System (IMS)
• Ensure project staff are aware of, and fully compliant with, the requirements of the IMS

Requirements

What You Bring:

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Geotechnical design
• Has achieved, or is close to achieving, Chartered status
• Degree or Masters in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering

Skills & Knowledge

• Deep understanding of the principles of Geotechnical design and analysis
• Demonstrate an ability to understand complex problems and to conceive innovative solutions
• Can effectively communicate with clients, colleagues and outside agencies and build effective working relationships, always aiming to exceed client expectations
• Is committed to Continued Professional Development (CPD) and remains up-to-date with current developments in the industry
