Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Principal Engineer to accelerate consulting transformation through AI and technology within the Advisors & Transformation group. You will design a scalable AI Platform, drive AI productivity, and enable AI commercialization across the consulting portfolio.

You will mentor engineers, shape architecture, and collaborate with product, data, security, and business leaders to deliver reusable AI assets and standards at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of full-stack engineering in an agile environment.
• Experience setting technology strategy for market-facing business.
• Strong understanding of GenAI, agentic workflows and AI delivery at scale.
• Experience building and scaling AI platforms and productivity tools.
• Strong API/service architecture and enterprise-grade software design.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead scalable, reusable AI Platform for the program.
• Drive AI enablement across the wider group and partner with leaders.
• Lead technical design, architecture, security, and performance decisions.
• Oversee migration to future state architecture and best practices.
• Collaborate with product, data, security, and engineering to deliver AI solutions.
• Mentor engineers and influence engineering standards and decisions.
