Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our Ireland fabrication team. In a modern environment, you’ll set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal, read engineering drawings, and ensure quality.

You’ll perform tool selection, machine setup, inspection, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. The role offers a secure, long-term position with benefits including pension, life assurance, 25 days leave, and a bonus scheme.

Qualifications

Experience operating press brake equipment in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication and bending processes.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
A flexible, can‑do attitude and strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Setting up and operating press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components.
Reading and working from engineering drawings, job cards, and production schedules.
Selecting and loading appropriate tooling and materials.
Preparing, setting, and adjusting machines to meet job specifications.
Measuring, aligning, and securing materials for accurate bending.
Carrying out first‑off and in‑process quality checks.
Inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet quality and accuracy standards.
Performing routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working area.
Working closely with fabrication and production teams to meet targets.
