Job description

Ridgeline is the first front-to-back system of record for investment managers. Founded by visionary entrepreneur Dave Duffield (co-founder of both PeopleSoft and Workday), the company was created to modernize an industry held back by outdated, disconnected technology. Powered by a single, real-time data set and embedded AI, Ridgeline helps firms automate complexity, accelerate collaboration, and deliver tailored client experiences at scale, without added headcount or risk. Ridgeline is headquartered in Lake Tahoe, with offices in New York, Reno, the Bay Area, and Dublin, Ireland, and is recognized by Fast Company as a \"Best Workplace for Innovators,\" by Frost & Sullivan as a \"Technology Innovation Leader,\" and by The Software Report as a \"Top 100 Software Company.\" Ridgeline is expanding into the Canadian market, and this role is foundational to building out that presence.

Why this role exists

As the Solutions Consultant for Canada at Ridgeline, you will play a critical role in driving sales success by providing functional and technical expertise during the sales cycle, while serving as the primary product and solutions consulting expert for the Canadian market. You’ll be based out of one of Canada’s major markets, such as Toronto or Vancouver, with the flexibility to support prospects and clients in other regions across the country as needed. This role offers the chance to engage with leaders across the Canadian asset management industry, showcase Ridgeline’s unified cloud-native platform, and directly influence the adoption of modern investment management solutions, while helping establish and grow Ridgeline’s presence in Canada. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the U.S. Solutions Consulting team, to deliver exceptional client experiences from RFP to deployment, and will occasionally support deals and initiatives in the U.S. market.

At Ridgeline, how we work matters as much as what we build. Ridgeliners act like owners, choose growth over comfort, and communicate with transparency. We assume positive intent, bias toward action, and bring solutions—not just problems. We celebrate wins, learn from setbacks, and thrive in a resilient, collaborative, high-performing culture.

This posting is for an existing vacancy. You must be work authorized in Canada without the need for employer sponsorship.

What success looks like

By 6 months, you're independently leading technical and functional product demonstrations, comfortable positioning Ridgeline's single-platform capabilities to stakeholders like Traders, Portfolio Managers, IT, Accounting, and Compliance, fluent in Canadian regulatory and reporting requirements such as CRM2/CRM3 and Total Cost Reporting, and contributing confidently to RFP/RFI responses and SOWs. By 12 months, you're the trusted product and solutions consulting expert for the Canadian market across the full sales cycle, feeding client and market insight back to product management, and helping shape how Ridgeline is positioned against the toughest client requirements in Canada.

What you'll do
  • Lead technical and functional product demonstrations to highlight the value of Ridgeline’s solutions to prospective clients.
  • Serve as a product expert, showcasing how Ridgeline addresses investment management needs for stakeholders such as Traders, Portfolio Managers, IT, Accounting, and Compliance Officers.
  • Own the Canadian market as the lead Solutions Consultant, covering major markets including Toronto and Vancouver, with the flexibility to support other Canadian regions as client needs require.
  • Partner closely with sales, product development, and implementation teams to ensure seamless client experiences from pre-sales through deployment.
  • Collaborate with the U.S. Solutions Consulting team on shared deals, cross-border initiatives, and playbook alignment.
  • Manage the sales process by assisting with RFP/RFI responses and creating Statements of Work (SOW) in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Provide critical feedback to product management teams to drive continuous product enhancements and innovation.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client needs, offering tailored solutions that emphasize Ridgeline’s single-platform capabilities across functionalities such as Order Management, Accounting, and Reporting.
  • Travel regularly (20–40%) across Canada to engage with prospects, build relationships, and support sales efforts, with occasional travel to the U.S. to support cross-border deals.
  • Foster a collaborative, transparent environment rooted in learning, teaching, and mutual success.
What we look for
  • 8+ years of experience in financial services, fintech deployment, sales engineering, solutions architecture, or similar roles.
  • 5+ years of client-facing experience with technology-based enterprise solutions in Asset or Wealth Management.
  • Deep understanding of investment management, including systems such as OMS, PMS, and Accounting platforms.
  • Expertise in Canadian investment management regulatory and reporting requirements, including Total Cost Reporting (TCR), Average Cost/Adjusted Cost Base (ACB) methodology, CRM2/CRM3 disclosure rules, and familiarity with CIRO and CSA national instruments (e.g., NI 31-103).
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, portfolio management, trading, performance and risk, compliance, and trade settlement processes.
  • Familiarity with consultative selling methodologies and a proven ability to work collaboratively in achieving results.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and lead product demonstrations for diverse audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • Self-starter with a friendly demeanor, professionalism, and the ability to forge strong relationships with senior market practitioners.
  • Experience presenting cloud-based solutions and driving value-based sales approaches.
  • Willingness to learn about cutting-edge technologies while cultivating expertise in a business domain/problem space.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French is a plus, particularly for supporting Quebec-based clients, though not required.

The typical starting compensation range for new hires in this role is $250,000 – $311,000 CAD OTE. Final compensation is determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the range listed above.

As an employee at Ridgeline, you’ll have many opportunities for advancement in your career and can make a true impact on the product.
