Job summary

Connacht Rugby seeks a PR & Media Manager to drive the club's public relations, media and communications strategy from the HPC at Dexcom Stadium, Galway, Ireland. The role involves daily PR delivery, relationship building with journalists, and supporting commercial objectives.

The position requires frequent weekend work and travel, with hybrid office attendance and close collaboration with senior leadership and the marketing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Communications, Media and PR related fields.
• A minimum of 5 years relevant PR and Media experience.
• Strong media relationships in Ireland and sports governance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Be the key contact for the club in relation to all media and PR matters.
• Organise and manage press conferences, media events, interview requests, and media briefings.
• Develop and implement a proactive annual PR & Media plan.
• Manage the club’s PR activity across all media channels.
• Brief and prepare coaching staff and players for media duties.
• Lead crisis and issue management communications with senior leadership.
• Oversee Match Day media operations and stakeholder engagement.
