Qualifications

  • 1–3 years' experience in PR, communications or media.
  • Excellent written English and ability to produce accurate, engaging copy.
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Interest in developing relationships with media contacts across broadcast, print and online.
  • Passion for PR and arts, entertainment or live events.
  • Relevant third-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proactive, collaborative and positive approach.

Responsibilities

  • Support Senior PR Manager in planning and delivering publicity campaigns across the venue's programme.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, statements, pitches and PR materials.
  • Build relationships with regional and trade media, and support national outlets.
  • Pitch creative story angles to secure media coverage.
  • Coordinate logistics for press days, photo calls, openings and press trips.
  • Manage media and VIP ticketing for openings, including guest lists.

Job description

A leading live entertainment venue is seeking an enthusiastic and organised PR Executive to join its award-winning PR & Marketing team.

This is a newly created role, ideal for someone looking to develop their PR career within a fast-paced, high-profile entertainment environment. Working closely with the Senior PR Manager, the successful candidate will support the delivery of focused, high-impact publicity campaigns across a busy programme of productions and events, with an emphasis on securing quality media coverage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior PR Manager in planning and delivering publicity campaigns across the venue's programme.
  • Research, draft and distribute press releases, statements, feature pitches and other PR materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regional and trade media, while supporting relationships with national outlets.
  • Research and pitch creative story angles to secure media coverage.
  • Coordinate logistics for press days, photo calls, opening nights and press trips, including talent and media liaison.
  • Manage media and VIP ticketing for opening nights, including guest lists and ticket allocations.
  • Identify digital PR opportunities and work with social and digital teams to maximise campaign reach.
  • Monitor and log media coverage and compile campaign reports against agreed publicity targets.
  • Support promotions strategy and event planning for productions.
  • Maintain media lists, imagery, press releases, coverage archives and other shared PR resources.
  • Assist with PR-related website and social media content in collaboration with Marketing and Digital teams.
  • Provide general administrative support, including scheduling, budgeting support and correspondence.
Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 1-3 years' experience in PR, communications or media.
  • Excellent written English and the ability to produce accurate, engaging and well-structured copy.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • An interest in developing relationships with media contacts across broadcast, print and online.
  • A genuine passion for PR and the arts, entertainment or live events sector.
  • A relevant third-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Confident working knowledge of Canva, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • A proactive, collaborative and positive approach.
  • Previous experience within the entertainment industry would be an advantage.
