Alternatives is seeking a PR Executive to join its high-profile arts and entertainment organisation at an exciting growth stage. You will work with the PR & Marketing team to develop publicity campaigns that generate meaningful media coverage and hands-on experience across campaigns, events, talent and digital PR.

The role suits a PR professional with 1–3 years’ experience; you will build media relationships, coordinate press days and support promotions, with a hybrid working pattern of 4

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years’ experience in PR, communications or media.
  • Excellent written English and strong copywriting skills.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • An interest in developing a strong network of media contacts.
  • A genuine passion for PR, arts and entertainment.
  • Relevant third-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of Canva, PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of PR campaigns across productions.
  • Research, write and distribute press releases, statements, feature pitches and other PR materials.
  • Build relationships with regional and trade media, while supporting national media engagement.
  • Research and pitch creative story angles to generate coverage.
  • Coordinate press days, photo calls, opening nights and press trips, including media and talent liaison.
  • Manage media and VIP ticketing for opening nights, working closely with Box Office.
  • Identify digital PR opportunities and work with Digital & Social teams to amplify campaigns.
  • Monitor and report on media coverage against agreed targets.
  • Support promotions strategy, event planning and general PR administration.
  • Maintain media lists, press materials, images and coverage archives.
  • Support PR-related website and social content alongside Marketing and Digital teams.

PR Executive

Join a high-profile arts and entertainment organisation at an exciting stage of its development, working across a diverse programme of productions and events that attract significant national and international attention.

As PR Executive, you’ll play a key supporting role within the PR & Marketing team, working closely with the Senior PR Manager to develop and deliver publicity campaigns that generate meaningful, high-quality media coverage.

This newly created position offers an excellent opportunity for a PR professional with 1–3 years’ experience to broaden their skills, build valuable media relationships and gain hands‑on experience across campaigns, events, talent and digital PR within a dynamic entertainment environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and delivery of PR campaigns across productions.
