Job summary

Realtime Recruitment in Dublin is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer for an initial contract in Dublin on a hybrid basis. You will design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports that translate data into actionable insights for business stakeholders.

You will engage with clients to gather requirements, present solutions, and iterate based on feedback, while ensuring data governance and robust data models. Strong communication and technical delivery are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, ideally in a consulting, agency, or client-facing capacity.
• Strong hands-on skills in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modelling.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports from business requirements
• Build and optimise data models, DAX measures, and Power Query (M) transformations
• Liaise directly with client stakeholders to gather requirements, present work-in-progress, and refine deliverables based on feedback
• Manage data connections and integrations across multiple source systems (SQL, Excel, cloud data warehouses, etc.)
• Ensure data accuracy, governance, and row-level security best practices across reports
• Present findings and recommendations confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Support ad hoc reporting requests and evolving business needs throughout the contract

Our client within the Data & AI space is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer for an initial contract engagement based in Dublin, working on a hybrid basis. This is a client-facing role suited to a confident communicator who is comfortable engaging directly with business stakeholders as well as building technical solutions.

Role Overview

You'll design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders. You'll work closely with clients to gather requirements, present solutions, and iterate based on feedback — so this role demands as much in the way of communication and stakeholder management skills as technical delivery.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills — confident engaging directly with clients and stakeholders at varying levels of technical fluency
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently within a hybrid setup
• Experience with Azure data services (Synapse, Data Factory) a plus
• Prior contract/consulting experience strongly preferred
