Job summary

QT Technologies Ireland Limited in Cork is seeking an experienced Post‑Silicon Power and Performance Engineer focused on CPUs. You will characterize, debug, and optimize CPU performance and power in a complex SoC, set up validation plans, and drive tuning to meet silicon targets.

Collaboration across design, architecture, and software ensures readiness for first silicon and informs next‑gen CPU architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
• Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
• PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute end-to-end performance and power analysis plans for complex CPU subsystems.
• Debug issues found during pre-silicon, bring-up, validation, and production phases of SOC programs.
• Define an optimization strategy that delivers world-class CPU workload performance.
• Lead collaborative test approach with multiple teams and track test execution.
• Work with design, architecture, emulation, firmware, VI and software to ensure readiness for first silicon arrival.
• Develop deep knowledge of CPU architecture, SoC systems, benchmarking, and power optimization.
• Drive technical innovation to enhance CPU performance and power validation with tools and methodologies.
