Job summary

Askeaton Pool & Leisure seeks a friendly, professional Duty Manager to join our front-of-house team on a part-time basis. You will be the first point of contact for members and guests, reporting to the Pool & Gym Managers, and helping to create a welcoming, safe and positive experience.

Responsibilities include opening and closing the facility, supervising staff, managing admissions and bookings, handling inquiries and complaints, and ensuring high standards of service, safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
• Pool plant management qualifications are an advantage but not essential, training will be provided.
• Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification.
• Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, Legend Point of Sale system or comparable system).

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the facility each day and managing the reception area.
• Supervising day-to-day operation of the facility and pool, ensuring staffing, security, safety and cleanliness.
• Supervising admissions and bookings and accounting for all money received.
• Handling inquiries and complaints and delivering high customer service.
• Ensuring equipment and supplies are controlled and maintained; overseeing maintenance, cleaning and repairs.
