Job summary

Center Parcs UK & Ireland’s Longford Forest is seeking a Pool Assistant to support the Lifeguard team in delivering a safe, enjoyable environment for guests. You will help operate the Tropical Cyclone and Typhoon rides, supervise non-lifeguarded areas, and provide friendly customer service.

You will conduct regular water testing, assist with water-based activities, and complete required RLSS UK awards. This role involves early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts with Garda vetting

Qualifications

• Must be a competent swimmer (25m) and able to retrieve an object.
• Garda vetting before starting.
• Complete RLSS UK Swimming Pool Emergency Rescue Award

Job description

Keep guests smiling and safe As part of the Subtropical Swimming Paradise team, the Pool Assistant role plays an important part in supporting the Lifeguard team to provide a safe, enjoyable and well-managed environment for guests.

Longford Forest | €14.35 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver a safe operation on our iconic rides: Tropical Cyclone and Typhoon
• Supervising non-lifeguarded areas that require support
• Provide a friendly, professional customer service
• Maintain cleanliness and uphold health and safety standards
• Support with running our water-based activities
• Conduct regular water testing and sampling
• As part of the role you are required to complete Swimming Pool Emergency Response Award Swimming Pool Emergency Rescue Award | Royal Life Saving Society UK ( RLSS UK )

Your working hours

• Full-time and part-time contracts, shifts fall between 7:30am and 8:30pm
• You will be contracted to work a guaranteed minimum amount of hours over a 4-week period. You may be asked to work additional hours in line with operational requirements
• This role includes early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays
• Free transport to and from work is available from Ballymahon and Longford Town for colleagues without access to their own transport
• Premium rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday

About You

• Naturally cheerful and able to communicate effectively with guests
• Able to stay vigilant and calm under pressure
• Must be a competent swimmer, able to swim 25 metres on your front and back, retrieve an object from the pool floor and exit the pool unaided

Note: You’ll need to complete a Garda vetting before starting (we’ll help with that).
