Job summary

Coimisiún na Meán is seeking a Policy Manager at Higher Executive Officer level to develop evidence-based policy on children and vulnerable adults in the media landscape. The role includes project management, coordinating the Youth Advisory Committee, and external stakeholder engagement.

The position is permanent and full-time, with a hybrid working arrangement (2 days in the office) based in Dublin 4. The candidate will contribute to cross-team collaboration and policy outcomes with a focus on

Qualifications

  • NQF Level 8 qualification or higher in public or social policy, project management or similar.
  • At least 3 years’ policy development, policy analysis and research relating to children.
  • Experience in project design, planning, delivery, monitoring and review.
  • Experience managing statutory or senior-level committees, including communications and minutes.
  • Experience producing high-quality written and oral communications for stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating across teams and with diverse external partners.
  • People management experience.
  • Knowledge of issues affecting children and young people in the media landscape.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake evidence-based policy development, research, stakeholder engagement and trend monitoring.
  • Provide project management and coordinate internal/external stakeholders.
  • Manage and engage the Youth Advisory Committee.
  • Represent An Coimisiún in external fora and coordinate cross-functional activities.
  • Prepare briefing materials, speaking points and presentations for senior colleagues.
  • Line management and coaching of one team member.
  • Support efficient team communications and operations.
