Job summary

OMC Engineered Solutions is recruiting a Plumbing Installation Technician for its Dublin site to support our Surface Treatment Division. You will install, maintain, and repair industrial water filtration systems and pipework on client sites, working from drawings and specifications.

The role reports to a Mechanical Engineer, involves stock management, safety procedures, and on-site coordination of a small crew. Full-time, permanent with company benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ year post-apprenticeship plumbing and installation experience.
• Experience with heat pump installations and/or water filtration systems.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing regulations and health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial water filtration systems and pipework.
• Work from technical drawings and specifications to layout systems accurately.
• Order and manage stock for projects.
• Assist in developing, managing, and implementing safe systems of work.
• Assist in developing and updating circuit designs, equipment specifications.
• Analyse and evaluate project requirements, components, and systems.
• Assist with the creation and revision of maintenance plans, test plans, and procedures.
• Conduct tests and inspections to ensure system safety and functionality
• Perform site walks with clients & accurately report findings.
• Maintain accurate records of work and materials.
• Management of a crew on site.
• Reporting to Mechanical Engineers and management.
• Make notes on equipment, pipe specifications & cleaning requirements.
• Review and recommend systems and design modifications if required.

OMC Engineered Solutions are a specialist metal fabrication and surface treatment company with bases in Limerick and Dublin. Due to continued expansion and growth, we are currently recruiting for a Plumbing Installation Technician in our Surface Treatment Division. The successful candidate will be reporting to a senior Engineer on this site-based role.
