RTÉ in Donnybrook, Dublin is seeking a Platform Editor for a Casual Panel on-site. The panel supports the Platform Control team, covering planned and unplanned absences and may be used for future vacancies.

Applicants should have proven broadcast/media delivery experience across linear and digital platforms. The panel offers hourly rates from €22.59 to €31.73 gross, with flexible hours and potential overtime.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring content meets platform-specific requirements, regulatory obligations and RTÉ's editorial and operational standards.
• Collaborating with editorial, production, scheduling and technical teams to deliver content accurately, efficiently and on time across multiple platforms.
• Supporting the successful output of channels and services, including accessibility services such as subtitling and audio description.
• Maintaining metadata to maximise content discoverability, audience engagement and cross-platform opportunities.
• Identifying opportunities to streamline and automate workflows to improve efficiency, scale and operational effectiveness.
• Monitoring output and proactively resolving technical, operational or content-related issues to minimise disruption and ensure the best possible audience experience.
• Supporting the evolution of RTÉ's media supply chain by embracing new technologies, workflows and services, including cloud-based and AI-enabled solutions.
• Maintaining understanding of all relevant technological, operational, editorial and compliance requirements within your area of responsibility.
• Adhering to and acting in accordance with emergency and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) procedures.
