Job summary

Google Cloud Platform team is hiring a Platform Customer Engineer in Ireland to help customers transform their business with cloud-native solutions. You will work with technical Sales to differentiate Google Cloud, serve as the primary technical partner, and lead demos, proofs-of-concepts, and cross-pillar solution design.

You will drive delivery plans, engage executives and technical leaders, and expand workloads by showcasing infrastructure modernization, data analytics, and cloud architecture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of cloud native architecture experience in a customer-facing or support role.
• Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization.
• Experience engaging with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
• Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or customer workshops.

Responsibilities

• Partner with technical Sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud to customers.
• Serve as the customer’s primary technical partner and trusted advisor.
• Troubleshoot technical questions and roadblocks, engage in proofs-of-concepts and demos, and architect cross-pillar cloud solutions.
• Drive the technical win and define the delivery and consumption plans.
• Engage with technical and business leaders, and persuasively present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud.
• Identify, pursue, and win new business workloads and drive penetration within existing ones.
• Broad expertise spanning infrastructure modernization, application modernization, data analytics and more.
