Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Platform Architect 2 to design and oversee infrastructure architecture that aligns with security, scalability, and availability standards. You will collaborate with application teams and other critical stakeholders from inception to delivery.

You will generate requirements, create technical documents, and ensure architectural artifacts stay current while evaluating new technologies for Mastercard’s global infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of network, operating system principles and web middleware.
• Advanced knowledge of load balancers and web application firewalls.
• Working knowledge of cloud technologies.
• Experience with YAML based deployments.

Responsibilities

• Generating requirements with architects, engineers, and users to verify high level requirements.
• Producing technical documents, logical flows, and models to align stakeholders on the provided architecture.
• Maintaining architectural artifacts in a current state and prevent obsolescence.
• Resolve internet architectural and operational problems impacting global infrastructure and product availability.
• Research and evaluate new technologies for deployment in Mastercard’s infrastructure.
• Lead regional projects, including planning, time and cost control, and resource usage.
