Job summary

Litec Moulding Ltd (Lindal Group) in Ireland seeks a maintenance engineer to contribute to plant maintenance activities and the implementation of a preventive maintenance programme across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.

The role requires formal electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications, hands-on aptitude, and strong problem-solving abilities. PLC programming experience is advantageous, with a focus on safety and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands-on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical aptitude.
• Knowledge of electronics and PLC programming would be a distinct advantage.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time and attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and promote high standards in health and safety and housekeeping.
• Liaise with the Production department on maintenance issues ensuring all Plant and equipment is kept to the highest possible standard.
• Work within the Maintenance team to establish and implement a Preventive Maintenance Programme for all Plant and equipment to include mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Prioritise the work involved to give the best return based on company targets.
• Assist in the completion of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Reports in conjunction with the Supervisor, Management and other relevant personnel in a timely manner.
• Promoting a teamwork culture within the facility.
• Ensure all relevant documentation is filled out as per company procedures.
• Identify Hazards and Risk, report and mitigate aligned with Company procedures.
