Role Purpose
As a Plant Engineering Intern, you will work as part of the Plant Engineering team supporting the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of a world-class biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility. You will gain hands-on experience across engineering, maintenance, utilities and reliability activities while contributing to site objectives, operational excellence and patient supply.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day Plant Engineering operations in accordance with Quality, Compliance and EHS requirements.
- Assist in the monitoring, trending and analysis of engineering and maintenance performance metrics.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency and equipment performance.
- Support engineering projects from planning through execution and close-out.
- Assist with investigations, change controls, CAPAs and technical documentation activities.
- Support the development and implementation of engineering procedures and industry best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment uptime, reliability and operational performance.
- Collaborate effectively with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Utilities and other cross-functional site teams.
- Present project updates and recommendations to engineering and site stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements
- Currently studying for a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Process, Manufacturing, Automation or a related Engineering discipline.
- Strong technical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge or exposure to Plant Engineering, Utilities, Maintenance, Reliability or Calibration activities.
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environments.
- Interest in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
