Job Description Manufacturing Operations Intern
We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented intern to join our Operations team. This internship offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in a regulated manufacturing environment while supporting problem‑solving, troubleshooting, process improvement, and operational performance activities.
Responsibilities
- Support problem-solving and troubleshooting activities related to manufacturing equipment, processes, and operational issues.
- Assist with data gathering, root cause analysis, and implementation of improvement actions to support right-first-time execution and operational performance.
- Work with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Technical Operations, Automation, Maintenance, and Learning and Development to resolve issues and improve process reliability.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, visual management updates, and actions linked to manufacturing performance.
- Develop process flow diagrams and simple decision aids to improve process understanding and consistency where required.
- Contribute to updates of procedures, work instructions, and training materials where necessary to support manufacturing operations.
- Work in line with site safety, GMP, data integrity, and documentation expectations.
Qualifications
- Required Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, and troubleshooting
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Proactive mindset with willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks
- Basic analytical skills and comfortable working with data and process information
- Good computer skills, including all Microsoft Office applications
- Awareness of compliance, quality, and safety expectations in a regulated environment
Preferred
- Exposure to problem-solving tools such as root cause analysis, 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, or similar
- Experience with continuous improvement tools or manufacturing support activities
- Experience creating flow diagrams, visuals, or process maps
