Job summary

Designer Group is seeking a Planner Graduate to join our Project Controls and Planning team in Dublin. You will develop practical experience in project planning and programme management across major M&E projects.

Working with seasoned Planners, you will learn to develop, monitor and update programmes, track progress and identify delays and risks while contributing to dashboards and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • Good numerical ability and attention to detail.
  • Good Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is advantageous.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Interest in project planning and construction.
  • Proactive approach and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of project programmes.
  • Support project teams with progress updates and reporting.
  • Assist with tracking project milestones and key activities.
  • Support programme updates and schedule analysis.
  • Help identify programme risks, delays and dependencies.
  • Assist with progress reporting and project dashboards.
  • Maintain accurate planning documentation.
  • Work with construction, engineering, commercial and project teams.
  • Develop an understanding of project controls and planning methodologies.

The Role

As a Planner Graduate, you will join our Project Controls and Planning team and develop practical experience in project planning and programme management across major M&E projects.

Working alongside experienced Planners and project teams, you will learn how to develop, monitor and update project programmes, track progress and identify potential delays and risks.
