Job summary

Flynn invites motivated students to join a Technical Services placement on live, high-profile construction projects in Ireland. You will be part of the project team, gaining practical site and technical services experience under the guidance of experienced Technical Services, Engineering and Project teams.

You will develop your understanding of mechanical, electrical, public health and structural coordination while applying college learning in a practical construction setting, with supervision

Qualifications

• Studying Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or related discipline as part of a college placement or internship programme.
• Interested in construction, building services, engineering and project delivery.
• Organised, reliable and willing to take responsibility for assigned tasks.
• Clear communicators with good attention to detail.
• Positive team players who are comfortable asking questions and taking feedback.
• Confident using Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Procore, AutoCAD or BIM software would be helpful but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the coordination of mechanical, electrical, public health and structural works.
• Support the review and tracking of drawings, technical submittals, samples, approvals and project documentation.
• Help project teams keep information, approvals and site activity aligned.
• Attend project, technical services and health and safety meetings as required.
• Support M&E progress tracking and help identify coordination or programme issues.
• Liaise with MEPS subcontractors, trade partners, suppliers and project teams.
• Support testing, commissioning, BCAR, handover and close-out activities.
• Take direction, ask questions and contribute to safe, successful project delivery.

This placement offers practical site and technical services experience, supported by experienced Technical Services, Engineering and Project teams.

What you will do

During your placement, you will be supported to learn and assist with the following:
