Job summary

The Marlay Nursing Home, CareChoice, is seeking a full-time Physiotherapist to join our dedicated team in Ireland. You will assess residents, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions to maximise mobility and wellbeing within a supportive care environment.

Essential criteria include CORU registration, 3 years post-registration experience, and at least 1 year in elderly care. We offer a competitive package and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Three years of post-registration experience.
• A minimum of one year in the care of the elderly.
• Continuous Professional development.
• Must be registered with CORU.

Responsibilities

• Assess and analyse the effect of illness, disability, injury and inactivity on residents’ functional ability.
• Develop and regularly review individual treatment plans for residents.
• Implement interventions to relieve pain, improve mobility and independence.
• Educate residents and their families about prevention and care.
• Participate in the physiotherapy service management with the nursing director.
• Supervise staff and support student physiotherapists as appropriate.
