Job summary

QT Technologies Ireland Limited, part of Qualcomm's Dtech team in Cork, is seeking a senior PD lead to drive the physical design of critical testchip blocks and to deliver digital sensor IP for leading SOCs.

You will mentor a team of PD engineers, collaborate across sites, optimize flows with Innovus, Primetime, and Calibre, and contribute to advanced technology node designs in a dynamic, multinational environment.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/M.Tech or equivalent with 7+ years of ASIC design/verification.
• Experience with PNR, STA and physical verification on advanced nodes.
• Strong understanding of physical design fundamentals and custom circuit design.
• Familiarity with SPICE simulation and industry standard tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead physical design of critical blocks on testchip and deliver digital sensor IP.
• Mentor and manage a team of PD engineers across sites.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize design flows using leading EDA tools.
• Contribute to design enablement on latest tech nodes.

General Summary

Job overview

As part of Qualcomm's Dtech team at Cork you will be working on the enablement of latest tech node. You will be responsible for leading physical design of critical blocks on testchip. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering on digital sensor IP to leading SOC from mobile and compute domains, requiring physical design, custom layout and automation skills. The role will require cross function/site collaboration and managing/mentoring a team of PD engineers.

Job Description

• BE/B.Tech/M.Tech OR equivalent with minimum 7 years of industry experience.


• Experience with PNR, STA and physical verification on advanced technology nodes.


• Good understanding of Physical design fundamentals and custom circuit design.


• Understanding of SPICE simulation with industry-standard simulators.


• Hands-on experience of EDA industry standard tools such as Innovus, primetime, Calibre, Redhawk, Virtuoso.


• Basic knowledge of Formal Verification, CLP/LEC verifications at block level.


• Expertise in one or more scripting/programming languages like TCL/Python/Perl/SKILL

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
