Job summary

QR Select in Thurles is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician for a busy independent pharmacy. The role is permanent full time, with hours 9am–6pm and every second Saturday; there is an option to work full or part-time.

You will manage stock levels, accurately prepare and dispense medicinal products under the Pharmacist’s supervision, process and track claims, and provide excellent patient care while adhering to PSI guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must hold an approved Pharmacy Technician Qualification.
• At least two years’ experience in a Technician/Dispensary role.
• Previous OTC sales experience.
• In-depth product knowledge.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service.
• Willing to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage stock levels.
• Accurately and efficiently prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Processing and tracking claims.
• Providing excellent patient care.
• Operate within the most up to date PSI guidelines.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in the running of the dispensary.
