Job summary

Hickey's Pharmacy in Johnstown is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a part-time, permanent basis. You will assist with dispensing under the Pharmacist's supervision, manage stock, and help maintain high patient care standards.

Newly qualified technicians are welcome, with opportunities to learn and grow in a supportive environment. Generous staff discounts and pension options are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy dispensary preferred, new qualifiers welcome.
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate advantageous.
• Experience with McLernons MPS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medicinal products under supervision of Pharmacist.
• Control stock levels and order medicines as required.
• Prepare blister packs and process/track claims.
• Report to and support the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the Hickey's Pharmacy team in Johnstown. This is a part-time, permanent opportunity.

The Role

The Responsibilities Of The Role

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Must Have

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with McLernons MPS (an advantage).
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies an advantage.
