Job summary

MSD in Cork, Ireland is offering a 6–9 month Facilities Site Services / Engineering internship. You will gain hands-on exposure to Integrated Facilities Management, GMP compliance, and continuous improvement on a regulated pharmaceutical campus.

You’ll support audits, space planning, and data management using CMMS, while collaborating with Quality, EHS, and Manufacturing teams. This internship emphasizes learning and professional mentorship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (Level 8) in Facilities Management, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility audits and inspections to identify maintenance, safety, and GMP/compliance issues.
• Support projects in space planning, equipment upgrades, and vendor management.
• Ensure EHS and GMP standards are followed and drive sustainability and safety.
• Prepare and update facility metrics, KPI dashboards, and CMMS documentation.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
