Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment is seeking a QC Chemist for our Waterford based pharmaceutical client on a 12-month contract. The role involves providing analytical chemistry services, supporting QA/Production, and ensuring cGLP and cGMP compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Degree in Science (Chemistry or Biochemistry preferred) with 2-3 years manufacturing experience, preferably in pharma, and will maintain methods, SOPs, and quality records while supporting investigations and batch releases.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science (Chemistry or Biochemistry preferred).
• 2–3 years experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally pharma.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical chemistry services and support to the site.
• Interact with QA, Production, Engineering and Planners on materials, intermediates and batch releases.
• Maintain, update and issue chemical methods, specifications and SOPs per pharmacopoeial and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with training of analysts in expertise, methods, SOPs and updates.
• Trend results, record COAs where required and complete OOS investigations on time.
• Ensure QC documentation and records are complete and current; ensure cGLP and cGMP compliance.
