Job summary

Cognizant Life Sciences Manufacturing is seeking an MES Recipe Author/Software Engineer to join the growing MES team at a large biotech facility in Cork. You will design and configure MES recipes and may support MES Weigh/Dispense and Equipment Management modules, while collaborating with ERP, Automation and Lab systems.

The role requires strong programming and Visual Basic skills, plus experience in regulated environments and validation documentation aligned with GMP standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience supporting IT applications.
• 2+ years of experience in a regulated environment.
• Experience with MES recipes and testing.
• Strong documentation and testing skills.
• Experience with MES/ERP interfaces is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Development, implementation and support of MES recipes.
• Produce high-quality, well documented configuration maintaining ease of maintenance.
• Configure and support interfaces to ERP, Automation, and Lab systems.
• Investigate and troubleshoot problems and propose changes.
• Generate validation documentation in line with GMP and site procedures.
• Translate business requirements into design and perform testing of MES recipes.
